Principal's Welcome

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to Queensway Academy. As Principal, I am both honoured and grateful to lead a school that places such a strong emphasis on values, student growth, and collective achievement.

At our school, we believe that education is not just about academic achievement, but about building character and preparing young people for life beyond the classroom. Our values – RespectResilience, and Hard Work – are at the heart of everything we do.

We teach our students to respect themselves, others, and the world around them. Respect is the foundation for a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

We foster resilience, encouraging students to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and grow stronger through adversity. Life is full of ups and downs, and we want our students to develop the confidence and mindset to persevere.

And finally, we celebrate the power of hard work. Success doesn’t come easily – it comes from effort, determination, and a willingness to always try your best. Our staff are committed to helping every student realise their potential through a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

These values are lived and modelled every day - in our classrooms, in the playground, on the sports field, and in our homes. We know that a strong partnership between school and family is essential in supporting our students to become respectful, resilient, and hard-working individuals.

Queensway stands alongside its community. We are proud to be a school that welcomes parental involvement, values the contributions of our local partners, and builds meaningful connections beyond the school gates. We believe that when students see adults working together - parents, teachers, community leaders - they learn the true meaning of collaboration, shared responsibility, and care.

I look forward to a year of learning, growth, and shared success.
