Consultation on the Review of the Inspiration Trust’s Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) Policy

As part of Inspiration Trust’s review of its Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) Policy, we are inviting feedback from parents and carers.

RSHE is a vital part of the curriculum and supports pupils to develop positive relationships, stay safe and maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.

We would welcome your views on the draft policy, which is attached along with a covering letter explaining the consultation in more detail.

UPDATE ON QUEENSWAY INFANT ACADEMY NURSERY PROVISION

The nursery at Queensway Infant Academy will not be re-opening in September 2026, as had previously been anticipated.

CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSAL TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE THE NURSERY PROVISION AT QUEENSWAY INFANT ACADEMY 

The Inspiration Trust consulted on the proposal to temporarily change the age range (removing the nursery provision) at Queensway Infant Academy from 1st September 2025 for one year. The consultation received 4 responses. The Inspiration Trust has proceeded with a formal request to the Department for Education (DfE), and this request has now been approved. The age range from 1st September 2025 will be 4-7. 

CONSULTATION TO AMALGAMATE QUEENSWAY INFANT ACADEMY AND QUEENSWAY JUNIOR ACADEMY

Following the recent consultation to amalgamate Queensway Infant Academy and Queensway Junior Academy, the Inspiration Trust Board of Trustees has decided not to proceed with an application to the DfE to amalgamate Queensway Infant Academy and Queensway Junior Academy.
