On behalf of all the staff at Queensway Infant Academy and Nursery I would like to welcome you to our website.
Queensway Nursery offers a safe and secure environment both indoors and outdoors in which children can freely explore and learn through a wide variety of stimulating play experiences. Within this friendly, fun, relaxed, happy environment children can grow and develop to their full potential physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
Queensway Infant Academy is a two-form entry infant academy in Thetford which caters for around 180 children from Reception to Year 2. The school is very clear in its mission to be one of the top-performing schools in the country. We know early years education is fundamental in a child’s life, and I am proud to lead an exceptional school where our pupils can acquire the foundation blocks for a successful future.
We want all of our pupils to leave the Queensway Infant Academy well-prepared for the next stage in their education as they enter our sister school, Diamond Academy.
We are really proud to be able to provide an excellent continued curriculum to the children of Thetford from 3 years right up until they are 18 at Thetford Academy and Thomas Paine Sixth Form.
As part of the Inspiration Trust family of schools – we share a belief that every child deserves an excellent education. Through collaboration, support and innovation the Trust and its schools strive to give every child the best start in life.
The Inspiration Trust’s curriculum combines traditional subjects with arts and music, as well as a range of extra-curricular activities and enrichment. Their team of curriculum specialists lead the constant improvement of our curriculum. Our teachers are ambassadors for – and our children to benefit from - some of the most innovative developments in education.
This, alongside a package of pastoral support and SEND support, means that all children receive a high-quality of education, enjoy their time in school, and make excellent progress.
Whatever the reason for you to visit our website, I hope that you find the information you need and get a good feel for who we are and what we do. Of course, the website can only show so much, so if you would like to visit and see for yourself, please contact the academy office - I would love to show you around!
