Our Staff

Miss Bensley is the Assistant Principal at the Infant Academy and has been a dedicated member of the Queensway team for over five years. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed. 

Miss Bensley leads on the Maths curriculum and is responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality maths curriculum across the school. She works closely with staff to ensure that teaching is consistent, engaging, and carefully sequenced to build strong conceptual understanding and fluency in number. Through the use of practical resources, mathematical talk and problem-solving activities, she ensures that children develop confidence and a positive attitude towards maths from the very start of their learning journey.

Miss Bensley believes that strong relationships with children, families and the wider community are at the heart of everything the school does. She is committed to creating an environment where every child feels happy, safe and valued. Having loved her own school experience and remembering the positive impact her teachers had on her, Miss Bensley is passionate about ensuring that the children at Queensway build happy memories of their school life - not only of their learning but of the people who supported and inspired them along the way
